VISION Technology Transfer
Some organizations want the option of creating EDC studies in-house, where the internal staff, instead of a vendor like Prelude, develops the eCRFs and automated edit checks. This is sometimes called a "technology transfer" and is an available option for Prelude's VISION data capture and data management system.
While Prelude's skill and service of building studies for clients is economically compelling for most, the technology transfer approach may be better for some organizations having knowledgeable staff readily available. VISION has a compelling technology transfer. Most vendors offering technology transfers only support relatively static and simplistic tool sets for the DIY organization. For the vendor, the less features made available the better as support becomes much simpler. While such tools look great in a first review, they don't last in the long run. Our technology transfer gives a sophisticated organization the flexibility it needs to properly develop and control different studies with the full features of a powerful EDC/DMS system.
